A Boise teenager died from injuries after falling off his dirt bike in the Foothills.

An 18-year-old from Boise died after he was thrown from his dirt bike north of Boise, according to the Ada County Coroner’s Office.

Trevor Cleland was taken to Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, where he died around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Coroner’s Office said in a Friday news release.

He was biking near 6600 North Cartwright Road, which is by the Owyhee Motorcycle Club, a motor sports club in the Boise Foothills. The organization posted on its Facebook page Thursday that “in light of the recent situation,” the track would be closed for a couple of days.

“Please be respectful and understanding in this matter, and we will do our best to do the same,” the post read. The Ada County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
