Ada County coroner identifies pedestrian who died after being struck by vehicle in Boise
Officials have released the name of the man who was struck by a motorist in Boise and died last week.
A vehicle heading north on Five Mile Road hit a pedestrian who was in the road at about 7:10 a.m. on Dec. 15 near the W. Bridgetower Drive intersection, the Boise Police Department said in a news release. He died on Dec. 18 at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, according to the Ada County Coroner’s Office.
The coroner’s report on Monday identified the victim as Nathan Gould, 23, of Nampa. His family wrote online in a post that Gould was the “light in the lives of so many” and that he was always generous with his “time, kindness, and laughter.”
Emergency responders took Gould to Saint Alphonsus in Boise after the accident, and Gould was pronounced dead at 11:02 a.m. Wednesday in the intensive care unit, according to a news release.
The coroner listed Gould’s cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries and the manner of death as accidental.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, according to the release, and the Boise Police Department is still investigating.
