Pedestrian struck by vehicle on Five Mile in Boise dies. Investigation continues

A man died Wednesday after a driver struck him with their vehicle over the weekend in Boise, according to a news release from the Boise Police Department.

The pedestrian was in the road around 7:10 a.m. Sunday when he was hit by a driver heading north on Five Mile Road, police said. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with police, according to the release.

No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing, police said. Police asked anyone who saw the crash and hasn’t spoken with them to call Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790.

The man’s name will be released after his next of kin is notified, the release said.
