The Ada County Coroner’s Office has identified a 20-year-old man who died in a motorcycle crash Saturday.

Marcos Duran, of Caldwell, around 6:45 p.m. was driving a Kawasaki motorcycle east on Interstate 84 — just west of Ten Mile Road in Meridian — at a “high rate of speed” and struck the right barrier, Idaho State Police said in a news release. The motorcycle struck a Chevrolet Tahoe, while Duran landed in the roadway, police said.

Duran, who was wearing a helmet, died from his injuries at the scene. The Ada County Coroner’s Office determined that Duran’s cause of death was blunt force injuries and ruled his death an accident.

Another motorcyclist, also driving a Kawasaki, was injured during a separate crash around 5:45 p.m. Saturday.
