A Boise man died Friday morning in a single-vehicle accident near Mountain Home, according to Idaho State Police.

The 33-year-old was traveling eastbound on Interstate 84, a few miles outside of Mountain Home, when he “lost control and rolled multiple times across the median, coming to rest in the westbound lanes of travel,” a news release said. The crash occurred at around 8:24 a.m.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.

A 38-year-old woman traveling in the car was taken to a hospital; she was wearing a seat belt.

All westbound lanes on I-84 were closed for around two and a half hours on Friday, with the highway reopening shortly before 11 a.m., according to a police tweet.
