Idaho State Police: Two-vehicle crash near Emmett kills two, hospitalizes a third

A crash west of Emmett killed two people Monday, according to an Idaho State Police news release.

A 50-year-old man from Payette was traveling east on Idaho 52 when his Chevrolet Tahoe crossed the center line into the westbound lanes and hit a Ford F-150 driven by a 60-year-old Garden Valley man, police said.

A passenger in the Tahoe and the F-150 driver died at the scene, according to the release. Neither was wearing a seat belt. The driver of the Tahoe, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to a hospital by air ambulance, police said.

ISP responded at approximately 7:20 a.m. Monday, according to the release. The road was blocked for about five hours and ISP is continuing its investigation.
