Meridian man killed in single-vehicle crash on Cherry Lane, Idaho State Police report

A Meridian man was killed Friday night in a single-vehicle crash near Nampa, according to the Idaho State Police.

The 28-year-old driver of a pickup truck going east at 9:36 p.m. on Cherry Lane, near Nampa, “entered a closed section of the roadway and struck a large piece of equipment” a news release stated.

The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene.

The fatal crash is under investigation. The Canyon County Coroner has not identified the man.
