Hearing set for Boise man charged in stabbing death
A Boise man charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing death of Daniel Ridgeway will face a hearing on June 16, according to the Ada County prosecutor’s office.
Michael Ryan Downs, 25, of Boise is accused of using an 8-inch kitchen knife to stab Ridgeway to death at a Foothills home in the area of Windsong Drive and Toluka Way on Jan.5. Ridgeway died in March, and Downs’ charge was elevated from aggravated battery to first-degree murder this week.
The hearing, in which attorneys expect to call witnesses, will start at 10 a.m. June 16, according to the prosecutor’s office.
