Police arrest 20-year-old Meridian man, seize over 1,000 grams of drugs

Police have arrested a 20-year-old Meridian man on multiple drug-related charges.

The Meridian Police Department took him into custody after executing a search warrant Wednesday in the 400 block of South Glenmere Way with the help of the Garden City Police Department, according to a news release

He was booked into the Ada County Jail on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest followed a weeks-long investigation in which police say the man was found to have been selling illegal drugs to minors. The investigation was initiated by a tip from a community member, according to the release.

During the search, detectives said they seized more than 600 grams of marijuana, more than 450 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, more than 150 THC cartridges and additional miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.
