Nampa police are investigating a homicide after a woman was found dead in an apartment.

Nampa Dispatch received a 911 call about 8:40 p.m. Monday reporting that the Nampa woman was dead in an apartment in the 1800 block of First Street North, according to a news release from the police department. The 911 caller and others had gone into the apartment because they hadn’t heard from the woman for “several days,” police said.

The woman hasn’t been identified by police.

In an updated news release Tuesday, police said they were searching for Justino Morales Ramos, 29, as a “person of interest” in the homicide. Ramos is described as Hispanic, 5’05” tall, 140 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair, police said. He also has a tattoo of Jesus on his left forearm.

Anyone who locates Ramos is encouraged to call the police instead of approaching him, as he’s considered “dangerous” and may “act erratically,” police said.

It’s unclear if Ramos and the women knew each other.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Nampa Dispatch at 208-465-2257, option 2. Individuals can also contact Crime Stoppers at 208-343-2677 or visit 343cops.com.
