Caldwell police locate stabbing suspect after victim treated at hospital

A suspect in a Caldwell stabbing has been located by police after five days of searching.

On Saturday evening, police went to the West Valley Medical Center to interview a stabbing victim who had arrived at the hospital’s emergency room, according to a news release from the Caldwell Police Department.

After interviewing the victim, police identified a suspect known to him.

On Thursday evening, the 20-year-old suspect was arrested and booked into the Canyon County Jail on suspicion of felony destroying evidence, resisting or obstructing an officer, aggravated battery, failure to appear, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia with intent to use, according to jail records.

The Idaho State Police and Idaho Department of Corrections Probation and Parole office assisted in the case, according to the release.
