The Caldwell Police Department was searching for a suspect in a stabbing attack.

Police responded to the Caldwell West Valley Medical Center at 6 p.m. Saturday after the victim went to the hospital’s emergency room, according to a news release from the department.

Having conducted an interview with the male victim, officers believed the crime was committed by someone known to the victim. Police said they were able to determine the person who stabbed him was driving an early 2000’s model red and silver Chevrolet Silverado or GMC Sierra pickup with a black brush guard attached to the front.

Detectives asked people to call the non-emergency Canyon County dispatch line at 208-454-7531 if they have any information.
