Boise Police search for person of interest, witnesses in one of two June 21 shootings

Boise Police Department detectives investigating incidents of shots fired and a report of an aggravated assault from late June are seeking the public’s help in identifying a person of interest and two witnesses in one of the cases.

The person of interest was with another man and a woman before they all fled the area of 10th and Bannock streets in the early-morning hours of June 21, BPD said in a news release Wednesday. No one was injured after reports of a fight and shots being fired.

Police said they are still investigating a second shooting that night about a block away, at 10th and Main. The two incidents do not appear to be related, according to the release.

The person of interest in the 10th-and-Bannock incident is described as being about 20 years old with a tall, thin build. He also had shoulder-length blond hair. Police released photos of him pointing a gun.

After the shootings in June, Boise police officers said in a news release that “several people” were taken into custody and questioned, but no one was ever arrested, according to BPD spokesperson Haley Williams.

Anyone with information on either of the shootings, or on the person of interest and witnesses, is asked to contact Ada County Dispatch at 208-377-6790 or Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS. You can also send tips to Crime Stoppers online at www.343cops.com or on the P3 app.
