Elmore County seeks help in search for rape suspect; campsites are area of interest
The Elmore County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help in its search for a rape suspect who attacked a victim on Sunday in the Pine and Featherville area.
The area of interest is near Johnsons Bridge (hot ponds) and Bronco Gulch, according to a Facebook post by Sheriff Mike Hollinshead.
The victim was with a group of friends and left their campfire area just after midnight, and was attacked from behind, the post indicated. The victim was transported to a Boise hospital for treatment, officials said.
Detectives are requesting that anyone who had been in the Johnson Bridge and/or Bronco Gulch area and noticed something or someone suspicious during the time frame of May 1-4 to please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 208-587-2100 and leave a message for detectives.
