Adams County Sheriff’s Office searching for Idaho man it says tried to kill 2 deputies

Authorities in Adams County are searching for a man accused of trying to kill two sheriff’s deputies on Sunday.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public that would lead to the arrest of William “Bill” Pearle James, according to a press release sent out Monday by the Sheriff’s Office.

James is accused of two counts of attempted murder after he allegedly tried to kill two deputies Sunday. He was last seen in the area of New Meadows. No further information was provided.

James should be considered armed and dangerous, authorities said. If you or someone you know happens to see James or know where he is located, do not confront him, but rather call 911 and contact local police.
