Man found dead Friday likely not killed recently

The body of a 50-year-old man found under a Garden City residence had decomposed, but Ada County Coroner Erwin Sonnenberg said he’s unsure how long the man has been dead.

Sonnenberg said Sunday that the decomposition has delayed identification.

Jordan Marie Shaver, 21, was arrested Saturday and eventually charged with second-degree murder. Police were called to a missing person report in the 5100 block of Elaynea Lane, where they found the body. Shaver, who had fled, according to people at the house, was located at a nearby business and taken into custody on an unrelated warrant.
