A teen accused of shooting a 22-year-old Nampa man Sept. 6 was arrested Wednesday night, according to Caldwell Police Department.
Francisco Gerardo Ramirez, 18, of Nampa, was charged with aggravated battery, unlawful discarge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle and felony concealment of evidence, CPD reported.
The reported victim had walked into an emergency room around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6 with a gunshot wound. His injuries were apparently not life-threatening. The victim and Ramirez had reportedly gotten into an argument at a Nampa business, then the victim drove off, but Ramirez allegedly followed and then shot at the victim near Santa Ana Avenue and Blue Springs Street near Sage Valley Middle school, according to police.
Caldwell police, working with Nampa Police Department detectives, found Ramirez at the 1000 block of Sheridan Avenue in Nampa where they charged and arrested him. Police are investigating the incident as gang-related. Investigators said they don’t believe there are any other suspects in the case.
