Ada County coroner identifies 45-year-old Star man as Meridian crash victim
The Ada County Coroner’s Office has released the identity of a man killed in a single-vehicle crash in Meridian over the weekend.
At about 4:11 a.m. Sunday, the coroner’s office was dispatched to the crash location — a roundabout at South Ten Mile Road and West Victory Road — and determined that 45-year-old Dustin Wielkiewicz, a Star resident, was dead at the scene, according to a Tuesday press release.
According to a news release from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, the man now identified as Wielkiewicz was driving a Chevrolet SUV south on South Ten Mile Road when his vehicle collided with a barrier wall at the Victory roundabout.
The coroner said in the release that the cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and the manner was an accident.
Wielkiewicz was the only occupant of the vehicle, and the Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
