One person declared dead at scene of Meridian roundabout crash

A single-vehicle crash in Meridian left one person dead in the early morning hours of Sunday. Law enforcement is seeking witnesses to the accident.

A 45-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet SUV south on South Ten Mile Road when the vehicle collided with a barrier wall at the center of the West Victory Road roundabout, the Ada County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.

Deputies responded to the reported crash at about 3:10 a.m.

The sheriff’s office said the driver was declared dead at the scene.

The Ada County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash. The team has asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional information to email acsotips@adacounty.id.gov or call the sheriff department’s non-emergency dispatch at 208-377-6790. Tips can also be left anonymously through the Ada County Sheriff’s Office mobile app.
