Nampa police on Monday identified two men who were found dead in an apartment on the 900 block of South Maple Street on Saturday, according to a press release.

Police said 22-year-old Dagoberto Lopez Jr., of Nampa, and 21-year-old Esiel Jesus Oseguera, of Caldwell, both had multiple gunshot wounds.

A GoFundMe for Lopez’s funeral costs said he went by “Buddy.”

Though police are investigating the case as a homicide, they said there’s “no reason to suspect that there is any ongoing risk to the community.”

“This tragic crime is our top priority right now,” said Chief Joe Huff in the release. “We are devoting all of our attention to solving this case and locating the person or persons responsible.”

Police did not release any information about possible suspects but said they are following up on leads. They urged anyone with information on the case to contact dispatch at 208-465-2257 or leave an anonymous tip via Crime Stoppers at 208-343-COPS, or on the P3 app.
