The Ada County Coroner’s Office released the identity of the motorcyclist who died on the Boise Bench after a crash last week, but the cause of death is still pending.

The Boise man, 69-year-old Kevin Davis, was pronounced dead when emergency responders arrived at West Lemhi Street and South Vista Avenue just before 10:15 a.m. Aug. 19. Boise police are still investigating the incident; last week they said it appeared the man suffered a medical emergency to cause the accident.

The cause of Davis’ death is still pending, though, according to a news release from the coroner’s office.

Davis was traveling westbound on Lemhi across Vista when his motorcycle went off the roadway, the Boise Police Department said in a release last week. He attempted to return to the street, but his motorcycle eventually just stopped in the road, police said.
