A motorcyclist died on the Boise Bench after experiencing a medical emergency and crashing, according to the Boise Police Department.

Just before 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, emergency personnel responded to a single-motorcycle crash at West Lemhi Street and South Vista Avenue, the BPD said in a news release. The rider was traveling westbound on Lemhi across Vista when his motorcycle went off the roadway, police said.

He attempted to return to the street, but his motorcycle eventually stopped in the road, according to the release. Paramedics attempted life-saving measures on the man, who died at the scene, the release said.

Boise police are still investigating, and the Ada County Coroner’s Office is expected to release the motorcyclist’s identity once his next of kin is notified.
