A single-vehicle crash left one person dead in Canyon County on Tuesday morning.

A man was driving east on U.S. Highway 20 near Notus when his vehicle went off the road’s left shoulder at 7:17 a.m., Idaho State Police reported Tuesday evening. The 1999 Jeep Wrangler then rolled over, and police said the driver, a 20-year-old man from Parma, died at the scene from his injuries.

The man was not wearing a seat belt, according to the Idaho State Police. Next of kin have been notified and police say they are investigating the crash.

The accident was the second vehicle rollover in the region this week. On Sunday, a truck went off the road and rolled in Mountain Home, resulting in one person’s death and two people being hospitalized.
