Family displaced after fire in Boise home along Harrison Boulevard
One family was displaced from their home after a fire broke out in a duplex Thursday morning in Boise.
Firefighters were first called at around 8 a.m. Thursday to a duplex in the 2000 block of North Harrison Boulevard, but could not find a problem, according to tweets from the Boise Fire Department.
However, fire crews received another call and returned to the home at around 9:50 a.m. to find smoke coming from the building. Firefighters found the smoke was coming from a fire in a crawl space, and they were able to quickly control it. Multiple Boise Fire Department units were dispatched to the home.
The cause of the fire was still under investigation as of Thursday afternoon.
The fire caused the family living in the duplex to be displaced. The family is receiving assistance from the Boise Fire Fighters Local 149 Burnout Fund, which assists those displaced by fires.
