Coroner identifies 30-year-old motorcyclist killed in Boise crash last week

UPDATE: The Ada County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the motorcyclist involved in the crash as Weston Darfler, of Boise. He died of accidental blunt force trauma.

Toxicology results are pending.

A motorcyclist who crashed Wednesday evening at Emerald and Hartman streets has died of his injuries, according to a press release from the Boise Police Department.

The crash occurred at about 5:50 p.m., police said, when a motorcycle and a vehicle were traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Emerald and the adult male on the motorcycle lost control. He was taken by paramedics to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, and died Thursday at the hospital, the release said.

The driver of the vehicle and people who witnessed the crash stopped at the crash site and are cooperating with an investigation, police said.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office will identify the deceased man after his family has been notified, according to the release.
