A Powerball player scored big after buying a winning ticket in Idaho, according to lottery officials.
The ticket matched four white balls and the red Powerball in the Powerball drawing on Wednesday, July 15, according to the Idaho Lottery and the National Powerball website.
The prize totaled $50,000, according to David Workman, an Idaho Lottery spokesperson.

Where was winning Powerball ticket sold in Idaho?
The winning Powerball ticket was sold at a retail location in Minidoka County, Workman told the Idaho Statesman in an email.
“The Idaho Lottery does not release the location of where a winning ticket was sold for security purposes,” Workman previously told the Statesman. “Once the ticket is claimed, we will let the public know which store sold the ticket.”

The winning numbers in Wednesday’s drawing were 14, 15, 23, 33 and 42 with a Powerball of 16, according to the Idaho Lottery.

When is the next Powerball drawing?
Powerball drawings are held at 7:59 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, with Double Play drawings at 8:30 p.m. on those nights.
Ticket sales are cut off at 6:45 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, and resume at 6:46 p.m.

How do I check if I won the lottery?
As of Thursday, the winning Powerball ticket sold in Idaho had yet to be claimed.
“The winner has not claimed the prize nor contacted the Idaho Lottery,” Workman said. “We encourage everyone who played Double Play last night to check their tickets carefully for winners by using the Lottery app, our website or at a retail location.”
If you have the winning ticket, stop by your local Idaho Lottery retailer to claim your prize.
According to the Idaho Lottery website, if you are not an Idaho resident, then you will need to either mail in a claim or visit the Idaho Lottery headquarters to receive your check.

How to play Powerball lottery game
Powerball tickets are sold in 45 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
Each play costs $2, with the option of adding a $1 Power Play to multiply non-jackpot prizes or a $1 Double Play to enter a second drawing.
Players may choose their own numbers or have them randomly selected.
“The jackpot is won by matching all five white balls in any order and the red Powerball,” the national Powerball website said, noting that “the Powerball jackpot grows until it is won.”
For an extra $1 per play, you can enter your numbers in a second drawing to win more prizes.
The Double Play drawing is held immediately after the regular Powerball drawings.
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in about 292.2 million.
