You can watch Gov. Little’s July 9 announcement about Idaho reopening, K-12 education

If you missed the actual press conference at noon on July 9, you still can watch Idaho Gov. Brad Little’s announcement about the future of Idaho’s four-stage reopening plan, and the plans for reopening the state’s K-12 school system in the fall of 2020.

Earlier this week, Central District Health outlined stark numbers of increasing hospitalizations at the St. Luke’s and Saint Alphonsus Health Systems of COVID-19 cases. The health care system’s leaders expressed real concerns about Idaho’s limited testing abilities and possible stress on Boise intensive care units.

Five Idaho cities — Boise, Hailey, McCall, Driggs and Moscow — have implemented their own public health orders mandating that masks be worn in public.

Central District Health is discussing potential county-wide mask mandates for Ada and Valley counties, but the restriction hasn’t been imposed yet.
