Driver of car in fatal head-on collision on Boise’s Cartwright Road identified
The driver who died in a head-on collision on Cartwright Road on May 7 has been identified as 51-year-old Patrick Hickey by the Ada County coroner.
Preliminary reports said a vehicle going westbound went into the eastbound lane and collided with another car. The car going westbound, which was Hickey’s, caught on fire on the side of the road, and its driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The two people in the other car were transported to a local hospital after the wreck.
Toxicology results are pending and may take several weeks to return, according to the Ada County Coroner’s Office report. An investigation is ongoing by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
