Coroner identifies motorcyclist killed in Idaho crash Friday. He was wearing a helmet.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified the 63-year-old man who died in a motorcycle crash on Friday evening as Thomas R. Shirk, of Boise.

Shirk was wearing a helmet, officials said. The crash occurred at about 7 p.m. at northbound Eagle Road and Bald Cypress Street.

Meridian Police said Friday that the crashed involved a 2013 GMC Terrain and a Harley-Davidson. The driver of the GMC, who has not been named, hit the motorcyclist while changing lanes.

The case is still under investigation by the Meridian Police Department.
