Coronavirus: Nampa’s public pools will open Saturday, but you have to plan ahead

Nampa’s parks and recreation department will open the city’s outdoor pools starting Saturday.

According to a news release from the city, this includes the Lincoln Pool, located at Lions Park on Davis Avenue, and the Lakeview Water Park, located at Lakeview Park on 7th Street North.

Though the pools will be open, patrons will need to make online reservations before going. The requirement was put in place to ensure physical distancing, as only a certain number of people will be allowed inside at a given time. Opening of the pools was delayed due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Pool access will be divided into three time slots of two hours each, according to the city. The time slots are from 12:30-2:30 p.m.; 2:45-4:45 p.m.; and 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The cost of admittance remains the same: $1.25 for children under 5; $2.50 for ages 6-17; and $3.75 for anyone over 18.

To sign up for a time slot at either pool, please visit www.nampaparksandrecreation.org to sign up.
