Nampa
Adler Industrial, LLC, a Boise industrial real estate development firm, has started work on another 140,000-square-foot industrial building at 8840 Birch Lane in Adler’s AI Northside Industrial Park.
This building is the second in the park, which is expected to have seven buildings totaling 1.3 million square feet at completion.

Meridian
UnBound, a library providing access to emerging technology and support for small businesses and entrepreneurs, has opened in a permanent new home at 722 NE 2nd St. downtown, the Meridian Library District says.
The public library offers flexible meeting space, business-focused programs and books, and access to a range of technology, including a recording studio, the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, 3D printers, laser engravers, and other fabrication equipment, the district said in a news release.
UnBound (stylized as unBound) received more than 35,000 visitors at a pilot location downtown from October 2015 to February 2019. The new library is the first of four projects supported by a $14 million plant-facility levy passed by Meridian voters in 2019.

Boise
Boise is looking to replace its busiest fire station at downtown’s western edge.
Fire Station 5 is located at 212 S. 16th St., just north of Rhodes Skate Park and the I-184 Connector. Fire Chief Mark Niemeyer told the Boise City Council that the department plans to propose a new firehouse on the site, with the possibility of affordable housing next door.

RGJ Cole Road, an LLC registered to Gary S. Wiener of Boise; and Don Veasay, of California-based Kal Pacific and Associates, are seeking to build a five-story apartment building on 2 empty acres at 580 N. Cole Road, across from the Boise Towne Square mall.
The top four floors would have 136 apartments, with 53 one-bedroom units and 83 two-bedroom units.
The first floor would have 1,000 square feet of retail space, a property management office, and 21,760 square feet of self-storage units, according to filings with the city of Boise.

Jeffrey Leifeste seeks to add 12 apartments to a site that has 16 already at 5454 W. Grover St., south of Franklin Street and east of Curtis Road.
The project would include a dog park, playground and bus stop.

Ball Ventures Ahlquist looks to build an industrial park on 120 acres at 6259 S. Pleasant Valley Road, south of the Boise Airport and just east of the intersection of West Lake Hazel Road and South Orchard Street.
The project “will provide ample employment opportunities to Boise’s residents,” the company said in a city filing.
BVA seeks annexation into the city and to designate the land’s zone as MI Industrial. A small portion of the property is proposed for commercial designation for businesses that could include a restaurant, convenience store and other retail businesses.

Cellar Dreams seeks an occupancy permit for a shop at 1409 W. Main St., Suite 110. The space was formerly occupied by House of Wine.

Zeppelin Balloons seeks an occupancy permit at 605 S. Vista Ave. A Moose Lodge formerly occupied the space.

ConvertKit, a Boise email-marketing company, has acquired FanBridge, a fan-relationship management platform that serves musicians, Billboard reports.
It is ConvertKit’s first acquisition, founder and CEO Nathan Barry said by email.
The company says it has 62 employees in 51 cities around the world. Barry said ConvertKit’s annual sales are $27 million, up from $6 milllion in 2016.

PlexTrac, a Boise tech startup that sells a workflow platform for digital-security professionals, says it has received $10 million in Series A funding.
Venture firms Noro-Moseley Partners and Madrona Venture Group led the round, with participation from Boise’s StageDotO Ventures.
Series A investments are usually made by venture-capital firms in startups that have developed track records of users, revenue other performance indicators, and may need investment funds to improve their products or attract more customers.
PlexTrac says its platform allows security teams to collaborate in real time on cyberattack simulations, known as purple teaming. PlexTrac said it will use the investment “to continue to build the team and grow the platform.”

Idaho’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.2% in March, down from a revised 3.3% in February.
With an over-the-month increase of 1,100 jobs, the state’s nonfarm payroll growth has leveled off over the past two months, , the Idaho Department of Labor reports.
