We’re looking for the best spot to grab a taco around Boise. Tell us your favorites here
Tacos might not be universally beloved, but you’ll be hard-pressed to find anything that comes close.
Tacos are practically their own food group. They’re good any time of the year, but they perhaps taste even better when the sun is out, and the temperature heats up.
And fortunately, the Treasure Valley has no shortage of either warm weather (it will come eventually) or both traditional and nontraditional spots for these tasty Mexican treats. If you’re in the Boise area, you can grab happy hour tacos at Taquería La Flama for just 99 cents. Or, if you’re looking for a local classic, you can hit up one of the many Tacos El Rey, a local chain with restaurants throughout the Treasure Valley.
But that’s just two of the many taco places in the area. So, let’s get serious. Tell us your favorite place to get a taco in the Treasure Valley — both taquerías and taco trucks — and we’ll create a bracket that will allow you to vote weekly on the best taco spot in and around Boise. The bracket will be similar to our concluded brackets for the Treasure Valley’s favorite coffee shop and favorite sports bar to watch March Madness.
Submit your favorite spot to grab a taco below. Have several favorites? Refresh the page and make a second submission. Submissions will close at noon on Friday.
