Treasure Valley abounds with Cinco de Mayo margarita specials, tell us your favorite
The Treasure Valley has no shortage of Mexican restaurants, leaving residents with many choices when in the mood for a plate of nachos or some chips and salsa.
But with Cinco de Mayo coming up Thursday, some people want to cut right to the chase: Where can you get the best margarita?
Luckily, Boiseans aren’t lacking in options in that department, either. Several local restaurants offer margarita specials and happy hours for celebrations next week.
Read on for five restaurants that can satisfy your tequila-craving taste buds. At the bottom of the list, we also want you to vote for your favorite restaurants that you’ll be visiting to grab a margarita or other classic Mexican beverage next week. The Statesman will curate a list of the restaurants that received the most votes next week.
The Matador
The Matador has been a long-time favorite in the Treasure Valley. In 2020, the restaurant was voted as having the best margarita in the valley after public in the Statesman’s Best of Treasure Valley 2020. The Matador will have several favorite drinks on special during Cinco De Mayo, including Teremana Blanco tequila margaritas for $8, a Teremana Blanco or Reposado shot for $7, Modelo Especial beer for $4.50, and a combo shot of Modelo Especial and Teremana Blanco for $10.
