Treasure Valley Coffee Shop Bracket votes are in. Here is the winner, according to you
Just over a month ago we asked you to tell us your favorite coffee shops in the Treasure Valley, and you certainly delivered. After narrowing down the list to 32 locations, we embarked on a journey to discover Boise’s favorite coffee shop.
After five rounds of voting and over 6,000 votes, with a photo finish championship round victory of 684 votes to 672, it’s finally time to announce the winner:
Boise’s favorite coffee shop
Push & Pour
Locations: 214 E. 34th St., Garden City and 13 S. Latah St. and 501 S. Ash St., Boise.
What to know: The original Push & Pour location in Garden City was born out of a dilapidated garage just 300 feet down the road from the Boise River.
Owners Lucas Erlebach and Brennan Conroy stand at the forefront of the craft coffee trend that has taken over Boise. Their coffee shop, which touts its own particular roast profile and flavor, paved the way for other craft coffee locations that featured in the Statesman’s bracket, such as Caffeina Coffee and Neckar Coffee.
Push & Pour offers a variety of lattes, espressos and pour-overs, as well as a food menu that offers both gluten-free and vegan options. The shop also offers beer and wine services in the evening.
Erleback and Conroy wanted to build their initial location in downtown Boise but eventually landed in Garden City because of Erlebach’s familiarity and love for the location.
“Our original idea was to be downtown, then the more I came back, I would come to the Yardarm and the Corridor Paddle Surf Shop, and I was like, Garden City is the place to be,” Erlebach told the Statesman in a previous interview. “We’re right by the river and the Greenbelt. Traveling all over the world kinda puts into perspective how unique and special this [area] is.”

The runner up
Big City Coffee
Location: 1416 W Grove St, Boise, ID 83702
What to know: Big City Coffee originated in a small shop in West Boise before moving to the Linen District in 2006, which is the six-square blocks between Main and Front streets, and 13th and 16th streets in Boise.
Big City used to own a location at Boise Airport until it was replaced by another coffee shop in 2016.
Big City doubles as both a coffee shop and a restaurant, offering a large variety of options to fill your mug, but also sandwiches, waffles, soups, salads and more. You can view the full menu and order online on Big City’s website.
