This restaurant served Eagle families for 19 years. Now it’s closed

A familiar Mexican restaurant chain in the Boise area recently got smaller.

Fiesta Guadalajara, 3210 E. Chinden Blvd. in Eagle, is no more.

The closure might come as a surprise even to nearby residents. Located in Eagle Marketplace, Fiesta Guadalajara shut down with little fanfare. The restaurant made no formal announcement on social media. Its Facebook page says it served “families since 2007 in the Eagle community.”

Fiesta Guadalajara is a well-known brand to Idahoans. “Established in Ontario, Oregon, this chain of family-owned Mexican restaurants has been serving the Treasure Valley since 1991,” it says on Facebook.

The Eagle location was not consistently well-reviewed. It rated a 2.9 out of 5 stars on Yelp and a 3.8 out of 5 on Google.

Fiesta Guadalajara’s website still indicates that it operates five restaurants, including the one in Eagle. The actual number is now four: Boise, Nampa, Caldwell and Kuna.
