It’s a ‘final final’ for this Boise restaurant. It closed permanently this time
A Boise sandwich shop that rose from the dead unexpectedly in summer has closed permanently.
Lemon Tree Co. threw in the towel at Harris Ranch last week. Owner Jasson Parra shared the news in a selfie video, explaining that “unfortunately, this is the final final” for the restaurant at 3724 S. Eckert Road.
Lemon Tree Co. continues to operate its flagship downtown location at 224 N. 10th St., and a sister cafe, The Grove by Lemon Tree Co., at 404 E. Parkcenter Blvd.
Opened in 2022, Lemon Tree’s East Boise satellite shop shared space with The STIL, a local ice cream chain that still serves the neighborhood. But calling the decision “gut-wrenching,” Parra closed his eatery in March after staffing became too difficult.
In a surprise announcement, Parra reopened Lemon Tree in July, manning the sandwich counter himself. But its rebirth turned out to be short-lived.
“What I’d like to say,” Parra said in the social media video, “is thank you to the community of Harris Ranch — those that came out and supported us. We can’t thank you enough.”
