Patio dining, Boise? New 2-in-1 restaurant opens in North End’s Hyde Park
A new two-in-one restaurant debuted Monday in the North End.
If you’re a Hyde Park diner or shopper, you’ll know the building — and its outdoor patio.
Hydeaway Deli and Boise Boba are the latest concepts to take over a familiar yellow bungalow at 1607 N. 13th St. The space most recently held Apericena restaurant and, before that, Hyde House.
Boise Boba operates multiple Treasure Valley locations serving bubble tea. The local chain’s Hyde Park destination offers dozens of milk tea, fruity tea and blended tea varieties, plus hot drinks and iced coffee selections.
The Hydeaway Deli menu is small: four sub sandwiches. But don’t worry: “THIS IS NOT THE FULL MENU,” it says in all caps. “More coming soon.”
For now, there’s the Classic ($11): turkey or ham, swiss cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, dijonnaise and Greek dressing on a demi baguette; The Don ($13): salami, pepperoni, ham prosciutto, provolone, lettuce, onion, tomato, mayonnaise, oil and vinegar on a demi baguette; The Hydeaway ($14): turkey, feta, provolone, roasted red pepper, arugula, apricot jam, garlic aioli and balsamic glaze on ciabatta; and the Club ($13): turkey, ham, bacon, cheddar, lettuce, cucumber and ranch dressing on sourdough.
With heat advisory temperatures slated to break in the coming days, lounging on the patio with a cold boba drink and meaty sandwich should appeal to lunch customers and people watchers.
The restaurant’s soft-opening hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
