  • Longboards plans Meridian expansion, with construction aiming to be done in March 2026.
  • Restaurant combines pizza, wings and self-serve frozen yogurt in one venue.
  • Menu offers Detroit-style and artisan pizzas with nearly 50 topping options.

If you’ve ever dined at Longboards Beach Fired Pizza and Big Wave Yogurt, you know that it’s as easy as ordering a mouthwatering pie, grabbing draft beer from the self-pour wall, and then feasting.

Oh, and inhaling self-serve frozen yogurt with candy toppings for dessert.

Maintaining your beach body, however? That might be more challenging.

This pizzeria-and-fro-yo-shop fusion in Nampa can be “kinda a splurge outing,” noted an enthusiastic Google reviewer, who gave the restaurant 5 stars: “Expensive but the quality was there so not complaining. I’ll be back. ... First time in and loved it.”

Soon another Treasure Valley city will have Longboards to love. After debuting in Idaho last year at 849 S. Rising Sun Drive, the small, Nevada-based brand is planning a second Treasure Valley location at 3950 E. Hill Park St. in Meridian.

The plan is to finish construction of the 5,037-square-foot restaurant in March 2026, said Tyson Barker, CEO of Meridian-based Epic Development.

A small chain, Longboards feeds big appetites. There’s pizza, calzones, meatballs, wings and salads — and frozen yogurt afterward. (Or before. Who’s judging?) Pizzas come in two styles: Traditional artisan or Detroit-style (which are square and deep-dish). They come as signature pies or custom masterpieces with a dizzying array of ingredients. Between the sauces, veggies, meats, drizzles, “finishings” and base and topping cheeses, there are nearly 50 pizza options on the Nampa menu.

“Love this place,” a recent 5-star Yelp review says.

And why not?

“The food is always fresh and delicious,” the reviewer adds. “Build-your-own-pizza like Blaze but better flavor. My husband and I personally love their buffalo wings. Their service is always fast and friendly. Plenty of fast-casual seating. Best part is, when you’re done eating, frozen yogurt is on the other side ... .”
