Now closing? Boise’s 1st of its kind, this restaurant moved to Meridian and is ‘amazing’
When Ramen Sho opened in 2017, it was Boise’s first restaurant dedicated to the Japanese dish.
But the hot, steaming noodles were short-lived.
The downtown ramen shop shuttered after one year because of lease hurdles. But two months before that happened, Ramen Sho launched a second location in Meridian, where it operates at 520 S. Main St.
For now.
“Effective March 19,” the Meridian restaurant recently announced on social media, “... we will sadly be closing our doors.”
The decision was made because of “multiple determining factors,” Ramen Sho explained, offering no further details.
Ramen Sho’s customers have become “friends and family,” the restaurant wrote, “... but it is time to say our goodbyes. We are incredibly grateful for your support throughout the years, and we want to assure you that this decision was not taken lightly.”
The good news? Ramen Sho’s disappearance might not be forever.
“We hope to open our doors again,” the restaurant wrote, “should circumstances allow.”
Plenty of Idaho ramen fans probably would appreciate that. Ramen Sho is ranked 4.5 out of 5.0 stars from 978 Google reviews.
“This place is amazing,” the most recent review gushed. “Every bit of my experience was wonderful.”
