Expanding, this Boise restaurant opened a 2nd location. With ‘sadness,’ it already closed
When Lulu’s Pizza & Sushi expanded two years ago, it was exciting news for pepperoni junkies in Southeast Boise.
The local restaurant has served up New York-style pie for years at 2594 N. Bogus Basin Road. (And it’s solid. I’ve never tried the sushi, but the pizza? I’ll crush those thin-crust slices all day.)
Unfortunately, the experiment has ended for the newer Lulu’s at 2475 S. Apple St.
“With great sadness,” Lulu’s announced on its website, “we had to permanently close our Apple Street restaurant.”
Man, that’s a bummer — a run of just over two years. A welcoming, family-style pizzeria, Lulu’s even created a modest outdoor patio there.
But look on the bright side. Lulu’s is still going strong seven days a week on Bogus Basin Road.
And, despite the setback, the expansion dream remains alive.
“Look out for future locations in the Treasure Valley,” Lulu’s promises online.
