Garth Brooks returning to Boise? Nope. But he’ll rope in fans with a concert nearby
First, the bad news: Garth Brooks isn’t coming to Idaho this summer.
Now, the good news: He will perform a major concert in a city five hours from Boise.
The country superstar, who sold out two Albertsons Stadium concerts in 2019, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City. This will be the last Garth Brooks Stadium Tour concert in Utah, Idaho and Wyoming, according to a press release. The show on the University of Utah campus will be Brooks’ only return date from 2021 in any North American city.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 22, for $94.95, all fees included. There are three ways to purchase them — at ticketmaster.com/garthbrooks, on the Garth Brooks line at Ticketmaster (1-877-654-2784) or through the Ticketmaster App on a mobile phone. There will be an eight-ticket limit per purchase. Seating in the stadium will be in-the-round.
Fans will need to be quick on the draw. Tickets to Brooks’ last show at Rice-Eccles Stadium sold out in less than 30 minutes.
Brooks performed two historic concerts in 2019 at Albertsons Stadium in Boise. About 86,000 people attended over the two evenings. The shows grossed $6,592,083, according to a copy of the settlement obtained by the Idaho Statesman.
Brooks had not performed in Boise since 1992.
