Boise’s Outlaw Field to set a record. Here are all 17 concerts, including this new one

It’s official: Outdoor concert season is going to be bonkers.

With the pandemic cramping the touring industry’s style in 2020 and 2021, every musical act in the world now appears to be hitting the road.

Historically, Outlaw Field in Boise has aimed for 10 to 12 shows each summer. In 2022? The Idaho Botanical Garden’s outdoor venue will host a record number of acts — including this latest announcement.

Reggae-rock group Iration and hip-hop duo Atmosphere will co-headline on Wednesday, Aug. 17. Tickets will become available at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, at Ticketmaster.com for $39.50 standard general admission, $34.50 Garden member, $79 suite. A presale for Garden members begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13. The opening acts will be Katastro, The Grouch and DJ Fresh.

The 30-date trek is called the Sunshine & Summer Nights Tour. The five artists create an “eclectic package,” according to a press release, “featuring an inimitable fusion of styles, sounds and good vibes all-around.”

How many total concerts are on the Outlaw Field schedule? Technically, this makes 17. So far. And that tally does not include gigs in the same general grassy area, yet not on the Outlaw Field stage. Specifically, two “Live on the Lawn” shows: Aldous Harding on June 29 and Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen and Julien Baker on Aug. 5.

Here’s the rest of the concert lineup for Outlaw Field, which is located on the Botanical Garden property at 2355 N. Old Penitentiary Road: Lord Huron on May 29, Ween on June 28, The Avett Brothers on July 12 (sold out), Khruangbin on July 13, Rainbow Kitten Surprise on July 15 (sold out), Caamp on July 26, Whiskey Myers, Shane Smith & The Saints and 49 Winchester on Aug. 7 (sold out), The Head and the Heart on Aug. 9, Bonnie Raitt with Mavis Staples on Aug. 14, Mt.
