Treefort Music Fest in Boise reveals 166 more acts, ‘fort’ details. Want to volunteer?

Treefort Music Fest is ready to fire on all cylinders again.

After skipping 2020 entirely and delaying the annual event until fall in 2021, the 10th iteration will return to its normal spring schedule March 23-27, 2022.

Meanwhile, details are being unleashed.

Treefort just revealed its second wave of acts: 166 of them hailing from six countries and 22 states, bringing the total to 329 and counting. The second announcement is filled with regional and local artists such as Joshy Soul, State of Confusion, The Nude Party and Neal Francis.

Check out the full list at the Treefort website, where advance tickets are available for purchase.

Treefort happens at multiple indoor and outdoor venues in downtown Boise, with the main stage at 12th and Grove streets. Three waves of artists normally are announced prior to the event.

Treefort also recently unveiled specifics about its cultural “forts,” including Artfort, Comedyfort, Filmfort, Kidfort and Storyfort. Check the Treefort website for additional information.

Want to volunteer? Applications are now open. Volunteers work an average of three five-hour shifts during the festival. In return, Treefort hooks them up with a five-day pass and a T-shirt. There’s a nonrefundable $30 registration fee.

Treefort has welcomed more than 3,000 volunteers since 2012, with 90 percent hailing from Idaho, and 10 percent traveling from 30 states and Canada. Since 2012, volunteers have contributed more than 36,000 hours to Treefort, according to the festival.
