Flying Pie to open new Boise restaurant this week. But don’t pull up a seat just yet.
Things are heating up at Flying Pie Pizzaria — and not just because the Idaho chain has seasonal habanero pies on its current menu.
Flying Pie will open its sixth restaurant on Thursday, July 2.
The new location at 10678 W. Overland Road — Overland and Five Mile roads — will debut offering takeout and delivery only. Seated dining with a waitstaff will come later.
Founded in 1978, Flying Pie has changed owners over the years, along with philosophies. Instead of sticking with a traditional pizza parlor model, Flying Pie reinvented its Broadway Avenue location in 2017 as a full-service bistro with an expanded menu. This new Overland store is a bistro, too. Flying Pie also opened a Nampa location with a self-pour beer wall in 2018.
Flying Pie now has four Boise locations (including Overland), plus one in Meridian and one in Nampa.
