Yo, 2C! Ready for a Nickelback concert? (Yep, and don’t worry. Boise will be there, too.)
It’s been a decade since Nickelback rocked Idaho. But if you’re a fan, you’re in luck.
The Canadian band that critics love to hate is returning to Nampa. Nickelback will headline a concert Friday, Sept. 18, at the Ford Idaho Center — and bring opening acts Stone Temple Pilots and Switchfoot.
Tickets to the 6:30 p.m. show go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, for $25, $39.50, $55, $99 and $139 at ICTickets
Nickelback’s last visits to the Boise area were in 2010 and 2012 — also at the Idaho Center. Tons of fans came from both Ada and Canyon counties; the 2010 show sold out. Nickelback’s mainstream appeal is undeniable. If you want to knock down a few beers and party, Nickelback’s formulaic approach does the trick.
Nickelback will be on its All the Right Reasons Tour. It’s a celebration of the 15th anniversary of the 2005 album, “All the Right Reasons,” which included seven radio singles. Fans will hear that record performed in its entirety, plus the group’s other hits — ubiquitous anthems such as “How You Remind Me,” which has racked up 457 million YouTube views.
