Coroner IDs body found near Boise golf course as 68-year-old who went missing Dec. 19

The Ada County Coroner’s Office identified a body find in the Boise Foothills on Monday as that of a 68-year-old Boise man who went missing in December, according to a news release from the coroner’s office.

Teodomiro Carhuas’ cause and manner of death were not immediately available on Tuesday. He was last seen Dec. 19.

Police found Carhuas’ body in the Boise foothills Monday afternoon. Officers were sent to an area near North 36th Street after they received reports of a body found in the area, according to a news release from the Boise Police Department.

The body was found in a remote area roughly a half-mile north of the nearby Quail Hollow Golf Course.

Carhuas was was seen near 36th Street and Eyrie Way after leaving his home on the Bench. He was also seen on golf course surveillance video on Dec. 19. Carhuas’ had a traumatic brain injury that sometimes caused him to become confused, authorities said in December.

As of Monday, police say there were no apparent signs of foul play. Boise Police Department will continue to investigate.
