Boise man arrested after police track download of child porn

Investigators with the Internet Crimes Against Children unit of the Idaho Attorney General’s Office arrested Christopher M. Britton following a search of his home on Wednesday.

Britton, 48, was taken to the Ada County Jail and faces five counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

He is scheduled for video arraignment Thursday afternoon in Ada County Magistrate Court.

An investigation began after detectives observed Britton downloading sexual images of children through a computer network.

The Idaho Attorney General's ICAC Unit is a coalition of state and local law enforcement agencies that work with the ICAC Task Force to investigate and prosecute individuals who use the Internet to criminally exploit children.

Britton does not have a previous criminal record in Idaho, according to online court records.
