A driver was cited Friday morning in a vehicle versus bicyclist crash that sent a man to the hospital, according to tweets from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.

According to social media, the man was riding a bicycle in the bike lane of Floating Feather Road in Eagle when he was struck by a car turning north onto Seven Oaks Way.

The driver, 19-year-old Courtney Otto, was cited for not exercising due caution around a bicyclist, ACSO spokesman Patrick Orr said.

The man was taken to a local hospital. In a tweet, ACSO said his injuries appeared serious but not life-threatening.
