Boise, Nampa steal top two spots on best-run cities list
Boise and Nampa are rated as the top two cities out of 150 on a list ranking municipalities by their management, compiled by WalletHub, a personal finance website.
The site regularly pulls together rankings on various topics — best states to retire, best cities to find a job — using data from various federal agencies and other third parties.
This new list considered factors such as cities’ financial stability, education, health, public safety, economy and infrastructure — average commute time, violent crime rate, outstanding debt, etc.
Boise, first on the overall rankings, scored particularly well for the services it offers, its safety and its financial stability.
Nampa, ranked second, also got nods for its finances and residents’ safety.
Last on the list was Washington, D.C.
