This tiny Boise house is drawing big national interest — with an even bigger pricetag
A national real estate blog this week put a spotlight on a 775-square-foot house in Boise’s North End.
The house at 1085 E. Krall St. is described by Curbed as a “wee Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired home.” Built in 1980, it has one bedroom and one bathroom.
The list price: $299,000. That’s $385 per square foot.
“What a steal!” Curbed said in a Facebook post about the house Monday, drawing strong reactions from readers:
“At price per square foot, it’s anything but.”
“Is that all?!”
“I love it.”
Curbed writer Lauren Ro says some of the Wright-style characteristics this house has include: “brick-and-timber construction topped by an oversized, flat overhanging roof, floor-to-ceiling windows, built-in seating around a brick hearth, an integrated kitchen with custom cabinetry, and brick flooring (or else carpeting in parts).”
“Pretty cool but in the middle of nowhere,” wrote Isidore Valentin Taylor, whose Facebook profile says he lives in Paris, France.
It’s unclear if Taylor was referring to the house — or the city of Boise.
Or both.
If you live in the Boise area, and/or don’t feel this house is too far afield geographically or financially, you can contact Group One Southeby’s International Realty, 208-866-2559.
